- Draw circuit diagram of a full wave rectifier.
- A body of mass 0.8 kg performs SHM with restoring force 0.4 N at 4 cm. Find force constant and period.

Attempt any 8 questions (3 Marks each):
- Obtain expression for the period of a magnet vibrating in a uniform magnetic field performing SHM.
- (i) Define mechanical equilibrium in a thermodynamic system.
(ii) Define chemical equilibrium.
(iii) Define thermal equilibrium. - What is Brewster’s law? Derive formula for Brewster’s angle.
- Derive expression for law of radioactive decay.
- Define one Becquerel.
- (i) Expression for practical determination of end correction for open pipe.
(ii) Same for closed pipe. - A conducting bar rotates with constant angular speed in a uniform magnetic field. Obtain expression for emf induced.
- Number of revolutions made by electron in hydrogen atom staying in second orbit for 10⁻⁸ s.
- A flywheel has mass 100 kg and radius 1.5 m, torque 2000 Nm, starts from rest. Find work done in first 4 revolutions.
- (i) Cylinder resistance problem converting galvanometer to ammeter.
(ii) Same converting to voltmeter. - Diameter of water drop 0.6 mm. Calculate pressure inside drop.
- Solenoid of length π m and diameter 5 cm is wound with 1000 turns carrying 5 A. Find magnetic field at centre.
SECTION – D (12 Marks)

- What is ferromagnetism? Explain based on domain theory.
- Obtain expression for average power dissipated in series LCR circuit.
- Distinguish between interference and diffraction of light.
- State Einstein’s photoelectric equation and mention physical significance of each term. Also calculate energy of incident photon (λ = 4000 Å).
- State any four uses of Van de Graaff generator. Also, for a parallel plate air capacitor changing electric field at 2×10¹¹ V/ms with plate area 20 cm², calculate displacement current.
